Inside China 3 | Education project nurtures Africa's agricultural future

China Agricultural University established the Sino-Africa Science and Technology Backyard (STB) in Handan, Hebei Province in 2019. The project invites African students to study agricultural technology in China to implement in their home countries. More than 70 agricultural graduate students from 10 countries, including Ethiopia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi and Burkina Faso, have participated in the program. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has promoted this cooperation model globally as a means of better empowering small scale farmers.
